LASUBEB CELEBRATES SCHOOL MANAGERS

To further enhance effective monitoring of teaching and learning activities in public primary schools, LASUBEB distributed Mini-buses, Digital Monitoring devices and Printers to Basic Education Quality Assurance Officers across LGEAs in the state.

In line with the Board's resolve to ensure transparency, probity and accountability in education intervention infrastructures in the state, the Board held a collaborative meeting with the representative of The Education Partnership (TEP) Centre today, 22 November, 2021 towards the commencement of an E-Project Monitoring platform for UBEC/SUBEB intervention Projects in the State.

To ensure the smooth running and effectiveness of voluntary uniform clubs, LASUBEB organised a workshop for desk officers and teachers in- charge of voluntary uniform clubs in public primary schools.

To strengthen inclusive learning and teaching in Public Primary Schools in the State, Festus Fajemilo Foundation in collaboration with Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities Lagos Chapter (JONAPWD) presented Inclusive School's Mapping, Assessment Report, and Cooperative Teaching manuals to the Board.

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board in partnership with Artswax Communications launched EKO POEMS: An anthology of Nursery Rhymes on Thursday, 5th August, 2021. Over 300 hundred pupils of the state primary schools participated in the poetry competition at the end of which 63 finalist poems were selected and documented into a book for future reference after the preliminaries.

To ensure transparency and accountability, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board organized a retreat on Data Driven Allocation of Education Resources and Finance for Board Members, Management Staff and Stakeholders.

The Board received a delegation of the House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education & Services, Abuja, led by the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, OON. The Committee are in Lagos State to conduct legislative oversight functions on UBEC funded projects between 2010-2020.
