Goals and Measures of Learner Success
Our five aspirational goals are the equitable outcomes that we desire for all learners, without exception.The goals reaffirm our commitment to social-emotional development, continuous academic growth,and readiness for success at the next level for every learner, irrespective of their background and circumstance.
Goal 1: Strong Foundation in the Early Years
Every learner will acquire the social-emotional skills, academic curiosity, literacy and numeracy development that will position each learner for success in pre-Kindergarten through the early primary grades.
Goal 2: Whole Child: Healthy,Safe, Engaged, and Supported
Every learner will be empowered and prepared to develop personal responsibility, ownership of learning, and persistence in order to be positive,productive members of society.
Goal 3: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
Every learner will embrace ownership of their education and be fully engaged in becoming critical and creative thinkers, solution-seekers,and advocates for social justice.
Goal 4: Mastery of All Academic Subjects
Every learner will receive equitable opportunity for success, and will meet high standards of performance in all subjects at key transitional primary grade levels.
Goal 5: Closing Achievement and Opportunity Gaps
Every learner will progress at a pace that closes the opportunity, learning, and achievement gaps at an accelerated rate, and will be provided equitable access to resources they need.
